5 Minute Abs

Short on time? Abs in a pinch! While the only real way to get a shredded 6-pack is to reduce overall body fat, its still key to build abdominal muscles to reveal once the “layers” are pulled back.  I like to train abs every other day, and sometimes, I only have a few minutes to hit them hard before I have to head out the door. Here’s a 2-move combo I love when I only have 5 minutes to smash my core.

Grab a bench, chair, or sit on the edge of your bed at home.

Perform 4-5 rounds of:

  • 10 leg lifts
  • 10 in and outs

TIP: Go really slow and really concentrate on contracting your abdominal muscles as you perform the moves. Don’t rest between moves if you can help it. You only have 5 minutes so make it count!20140427-200449.jpg
